The Pro edition of this technology can connect to any Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) complaint database including My Structured Query Language (MySQL), Microsoft Access, Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, and Oracle Database to store and retrieve labels. The Essentials edition of this technology does not utilize a database, as labels created by this technology are saved to the user`s local drive. The scope of this entry is for both editions. The Pro edition has a licensing fee associated with it and includes additional database connectivity and Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) capabilities.
